Chicago– The Sagittarius Full Moon feels different.
It’s not performative, chaotic, or another “manifest everything overnight” energy.
This one feels honest and grounding.
I realized this full moon is less about becoming someone new and more about becoming fully aligned with who I already am.
As someone who studies astrology, numerology, spirituality, emotional intelligence, communication, and human behavior as tools for self awareness and intentional living, so I can do my shadow work, I’ve been paying close attention to how this current cycle has been showing up in my real life. How I’ve been feeling and the limits I’ve been testing, and how I’ve been tested.
Since my birthday on April 1st, I’ve resigned from two jobs, released emotional attachments, strengthened my boundaries, recentered myself spiritually, and started focusing more intentionally on building a lifestyle rooted in peace, purpose, structure, freedom, creativity, and alignment.
I think many of us are currently experiencing some version of that same recalibration.
The Virgo moon energy taught me organization, discipline, discernment, nervous system awareness and intentionality.
Virgo asked:
Does your daily life actually support the version of yourself you’re trying to become?
Whew, that was a hard pill to swallow and I’m still working through this process of the conflicting discoveries.
Then enters Sagittarius Full Moon energy:
truth, expansion, philosophy, travel, freedom, perspective, purpose, visibility, and alignment.
This moon asks:
What truth are you finally ready to live out loud?”
So right now, I’ll be holding a personal full moon ceremony centered around:
- Release
- Reflection
- Realignment
- Gratitude
- Intention
- Expansion
- Rebuilding my life more consciously.
And I wanted to share the experience with my sisters in spirit in case anyone else feels called to reset too.
Not perfectly or aesthetically but honestly bathing in grounding beauty rituals.
My Sagittarius Full Moon Ceremony
Step 1: Cleanse Yourself & Your Space
Before beginning, clean your environment intentionally.
- Take a shower or spiritual bath.
- Moisturize your body slowly.
- Light candles.
- Open windows if possible.
- Burn incense, sage, palo santo, or use Florida Water if aligned with your practice.
This isn’t about performance for me but it’s about creating emotional and energetic clarity so I can make better decisions moving forward that align with my goals, hearts desires, and ensuring I fulfill my destiny while here on earth.
Lately I’ve realized my nervous system responds deeply to my environment, so cleaning my space has become a form of self respect and emotional regulation for me.
Step 2: Create Four Journal Sections
Tonight I’ll be writing about:
What I’m Releasing
- Old emotional patterns
- Overextending
- Survival habits
- Inconsistency
- Emotional clutter
- Fear
- Burnout
- Relationships and mindsets no longer aligned with my growth
What I’ve Learned the New Year
Everything these last few months taught me:
- Relationships
- Work
- Boundaries
- Purpose
- Healing
- Discipline
- Spirituality
- Freedom
- Communication
- Self worth
What Alignment Looks Like For Me Now
- The lifestyle I actually want.
- The routines I need.
- The relationships I deserve.
- The environments that nourish me.
- The structure required to support the woman I’m becoming.
What I’m Building Next
- Travel
- Business
- Publishing
- Creativity
- Peace
- Community
- Financial structure
- Intentional love
- Health
- Expansion
- Freedom
Not a fantasy foundation.
Step 3: Speak Your Truth Out Loud
One thing I’m learning is that healing sometimes requires hearing yourself tell the truth.
So tomorrow I’ll be reading parts of my reflections aloud:
- what I’m releasing
- what I’m choosing
- what I now understand
- what no longer deserves access to my spirit
Not affirmations just to sound good but truth that satisfies the soul.
Step 4: Release Symbolically
After journaling, I’ll either burn, tear, or release a page safely into water representing what I’m leaving behind emotionally and spiritually.
Not because rituals magically fix life but because symbolism helps the mind, body, and spirit process transition intentionally.
Step 5: Activate Expansion
Sagittarius energy isn’t only about release.
It’s also about expansion.
So after the ceremony I’ll intentionally do something connected to my future:
- organizing travel plans
- refining business ideas
- writing
- planning content
- creating structure
- researching new places
- reconnecting to purpose
Because I’m realizing growth isn’t only emotional. It’s structural too. That may be one of the biggest lessons this season has taught me.
Sometimes healing looks like therapy, prayer, journaling, meditation, or rest.
And sometimes healing looks like:
- Boundaries
- Organization
- Saying no
- Changing routines
- Protecting your peace
- Resigning from misalignment
- Rebuilding your life intentionally
- Finally choosing yourself without guilt
- And a beauty ritual for the soul
This Blue Full Moon feels less like an ending and more like crossroads.
A reminder that we don’t have to keep carrying old versions of ourselves into the future we’re trying to build, self sabotaging ourselves.
So to all my sisters in spirit currently navigating transition, restructuring, healing, releasing, rebuilding, or rediscovering yourselves:
Take your time.
Move intentionally.
Tell yourself the truth.
Protect your peace.
Honor your growth.
And don’t be afraid to rebuild your life in a way that actually reflects your soul.
I think many of us are entering our foundation era. Here’s my contribution to the collective.
