Chicago – We’re in a new era, year, and season.
Celebrating 35 years rotating around the sun this year, living on Earth as a human has been an interesting journey. Learning how to socialize with people and move naturally through life has become one of my recurring themes as a well curated private person.
Somewhere along the way, observing people became both a passion and a form of data collection for me, emotionally, spiritually, socially, and professionally.
As I continue transcending, restructuring my businesses, protecting my energy, and redefining my lifestyle, I’m learning how to resign from anything no longer aligned with my being. Not dramatically, emotionally or intentionally.
I’m learning to adapt, respectfully stop overexplaining myself, and move forward through action instead.
And honestly, these past few months have changed me deeply.
Since my birthday on April 1st, I’ve resigned from two jobs, released certain emotional attachments, strengthened boundaries, and started focusing more intentionally on doing what I genuinely love instead of what simply feels survivable. I’ve been reorganizing my routines, refining my image, reevaluating relationships, and creating space for the lifestyle I actually desire to experience.
Not just professionally but personally too.
This current Virgo moon energy helped me recognize how important organization, discipline, nervous system care, emotional discernment, and intentional living really are for me. Virgo energy doesn’t just ask us what we want, it asks us whether our daily life actually supports the version of ourselves we’re trying to become; Or who we truly are.
And whew 😅… that part hit me hard.
Over the last few weeks I’ve been cleaning my life up mentally, emotionally, digitally, spiritually, and physically. Deleting old messages. Reorganizing my photos. Evaluating conversations differently. Paying attention to how my body responds to people, environments, opportunities, and obligations.
Everything has become information, reflection, data and analytics for my spirit.
Now here comes this Sagittarius Full Moon 🌕 energy.
Expansion.
Truth.
Freedom.
Philosophy.
Alignment.
Travel.
Purpose.
Vision.
The moon is currently sitting at 99% (as I write this) illumination in Scorpio before transitioning into Sagittarius at 1:46 AM CST on May 31st, and honestly this full moon feels less emotional and more revealing. It feels like confirmation.
Like life asking me:
“What truth are you finally ready to live out loud?”
And my answer right now is:
…peace, intention, freedom, structure, creativity, community, purpose, and expansion.
I’ve realized I want to travel more whether solo, coupled, or within community; not to escape my life, but to experience it more fully.
To reconnect with myself outside of routine survival. To learn different cultures, environments, energies, philosophies, and ways of living. To romanticize life in healthier ways.
I’m not taking a break from dating, but I am taking a break from romance as a central focus. Right now I’m recentering myself and decentering everyone else so I can continue my emancipation from older versions of myself.
That doesn’t mean I no longer desire love, marriage, family, or partnership. It simply means I’m becoming more intentional about what alignment actually looks and feels like for me emotionally, spiritually, mentally, and practically.
I’m also learning how to love people according to their love languages; starting with relatives, friends, chosen family, mentors, and those who hold meaningful space in my life.
Simultaneously, I’m learning to release relationships, mindsets, habits, and environments that no longer align with my growth, or accepting when I may no longer align with theirs.
And maybe that’s maturity.
Understanding that every connection is not meant to be permanent, but every connection can still hold purpose, lesson, reflection, or love.
Today I’m also reminded that while technology, AI, and digital systems continue evolving rapidly, human communication, storytelling, intuition, creativity, emotional intelligence, and intentionality still hold value.
As someone working in communications, strategy, branding, and media, I understand AI is a tool, one I actively train, direct, and utilize but I also understand the importance of remaining deeply human while navigating an increasingly artificial world.
That balance matters to me.
This full moon ceremony on Sunday won’t be about perfection or performance. It will be about reflection, gratitude, release, alignment, truth, intention, and expansion. A moment to acknowledge who I’ve been, who I’m becoming, and what no longer deserves access to my spirit moving forward.
Because I’m realizing growth doesn’t always happen loudly or boldly.
Sometimes it happens quietly through observation, honesty, organization, boundaries, discipline, solitude, community, healing, and the courage to finally build a life that actually reflects my values instead of my survival patterns.
And honestly?
I think I’m finally entering my foundation era, after so long of feeling like “am I finally arriving?” Making the decisions that align with my life goals, peace and love based on my hearts desires.
Learning to love each person who’s dear to me love language starting with relatives and close friends that are family to me; and those who became dear to me and are chosen family, because we hold that weighted space. Also in the same breath having the courage to release relationships, mindsets and old habits that no longer work for me or accepting I don’t work for others.
