Today Chicago has lost a pioneer in the game, Heavy Hitter DJ Timbuck2 ( pronounced Timbuktu 2 if you will), to a battle with cancer. I am only 24 years of age so since the tender age I can remember his name spinning all the time. From the radio, to house parties, to the clubs he was one of the greats. We are very appreciative of your craft and work you leave behind. Thanks for putting on for the city of Chicago paving the way for our present and future DJ’s of the world also giving a platform to those who need it to be showcased to the world. Thanks to Larnell I was able to meet you this summer and I will always remember that small humbling moment in time.
I don’t believe in death, I think that the spirit transcends on to greater things. So with that being said may the innovative Timothy Jones rest peacefully. Until the next lifetime guys pay respects if you will.
