Dedicated to Matthew M. Williams #Brotherhood #Sisterhood #Love #Justice

Yesterday in Chicago around 3:00 pm while attending a function supporting Black Men United For Peace, I got word of a brother name Matthew passing in our greater Chicago community in the Grand Crossing area.

The 21-year old was shot February 5 at 11:25 pm on 71st Calumet taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital were he was later pronounced deceased at 12:08 am. He was a native of Rochester, New York from Virginia; who from the young men I had the pleasure of meeting yesterday, remembers him as outstanding free spirit who loved all his brothers and sisters.  He wasn’t a gang member (of our so called black gangs) he was a product of his environment who understood that we as a unit of people need justice, truth, and freedom. He stood with his youthful brothers and sisters here in Chicago lending them his energy (INNER-G) to support the battle for justice in Chicago with following the Laquan McDonald case and so much more.

As I didn’t know him I want to thank him for being who he was to help free my mind ❤️‼️ We as black don’t celebrate and love each other enough because of how we are simply brainwashed to believe we aren’t valuable to one another. Well as you guys know I don’t believe in death 💯 I know that we transcend and to Matthew M. Williams peace, power and blessings to you + family. You will forever live on through us so continue to bless us with your kindred spirit. As I never met you and wish I did I ❤️ ‼️ You brother……we will get to meet each other one day to laugh and connect.

There will be a candlelight for Matt today at 4:30 pm on 71st Calumet. If you are available come join hands for support.
