Everyone is prideful of their ancestors and culture so why is so much of problem that Africans in America aren’t exercising their culture without being misunderstood or not wholeheartedly accepted in society. Nothing is a secret anymore. As we begin to transition into new generations we are beginning to want to know our history.

Don’t we have a right to know where we come from and why? The truth shall set you free💯 just as it set us free. We are a race of people who built and today we still fund America.

We live as if we have no real problems to face but yet we are suffering because of the corruption, genocide, and doings of our ancestors. Our people haven’t passed down family history, ways of life, and assets. We aren’t taught financial literacy, sexual morality, and our ancestors history at home because how can you teach something that someone had never taught you.

I have seen and conversed with so many lost people that’s in question of who they are. They don’t know what there capabilities are. They don’t know where they should go in life or simply what food they should eat.

For us it’s simple we just want to BE who we are so we can evolve as people. Why are we being oppressed here? We want our children to grow up and not be killed by violence. We want our children to have a bright future.  We want our children to have pride in who they are and where they come from. Most of all we want our children to be accepted for just being them. If we can be able to kill the oppression against us we can begin to restructure with in and become better humans in society.

Is that too much to ask for? – BK
