Happy 75th Birthday to the South Side Community Arts Center ๐Ÿพ๐ŸŽ‚๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿพ๐ŸŽŠ๐ŸŽ‰

African American Art and Culture holy grounds in Chicago turned 75 yesterdayโ€ผ๏ธ and boy does she know how to celebrate until midnight. From live  music and art including poetry, panel discussions on inspiration right down to the champagne and cake โค๏ธ it was the perfect celebration for something so dear in our communities. The South Side Community Art Center is the Grandma of the Bronzevillie Community.

I enjoyed hearing the back story of one of our elders who was mentored by Gwendolyn Brooks. It was just so much history and heritage in the room, I was very glad to be invited to the festivities.

If you have a child in the Chicago Area that needs a outlet of expression, nurturing, and a safe haven to grow The South Side Community Art Center is definitely the place to go, located 3831 S. Michigan Avenue.
