Many are familiar with Jhene Aiko ( legally known as Jhene Aiko Efuru Chilombo) from songs such as ” Happy”, ” Santa Baby”, and ” Stuck Like This” which she was featured with B2K and I definitely remember her from her own song “Wait No More” . When she was introduced to the world , she was known as Lil Fizz’s little cousin. How cute, seeing that they had similarities in genes (maybe) but it was stated to be for promotional purposes to break her in. It’s said that the two are really close and in my opinion that would have been a great marketing scheme. She was signed to T.U.G. with Chris Stokes and Marques Houston, we all know everything failed with those two and ALL of their artist they reportedly raised (Raz B especially suffering the most), LOL. Last but not least she had a track with Drake titled ” July” that was leaked via the net. I love that song, it definitely sent off many fireworks like July 4th, trust me.
She’s back dropping a mix tape back on March 28, 2011, that’s really just not getting the recognition, titled ” Sailing Souls” featuring Miguel, Drake, Kanye, and Kendrick Lamar.
Jhene is very independent, talented, soulful, and very very inspirational. In my opinion she takes the lead in Space R&B, which is described as soulful, spaced out, calming, different type of soulful R&B. She’s a very different individual and her music is like a refreshed Aaliyah ( who will always be one of the greatest talents of her time).

You may also be familiar with both of her sisters: Miyoko and Jamila ( Mila J) Chilombo. They were in a girl group name “Gyrl” who you use to open up in the 90’s for Immature.
